Terms of Service
Last Updated: March 4th, 2026
Welcome to Local Honey. By accessing our website or purchasing our raw, unfiltered products, you agree to the following terms. We strive to be honest and transparent with our neighbors, and these guidelines help us keep our small family farm running smoothly.
1. Our Products & Natural Variations
We take pride in offering honey that is never heated and never blended. Because our honey is 100% raw and unfiltered, please note the following:
- Crystallization: Raw honey naturally crystallizes over time. This is a sign of purity and not a defect.
- Seasonal Changes: As our bees forage on local wildflowers and clover, the flavor, color, and texture of our honey (such as our Wildflower Spring Harvest) will vary by season.
- Infused Varieties: Products like our Hot Pepper or Lavender Infused Honey use real, locally grown or organic ingredients that may settle.
2. Pricing and Payments
All prices are listed in USD. Our current collection includes items ranging from $14.99 for Raw Clover Honey to $18.99 for seasonal harvests. We reserve the right to adjust pricing based on seasonal availability and hive yields. Payment is required at the time of purchase through our secure online checkout.
3. Shipping and Local Pickup
We are proud to serve the Anytown community and beyond with the following options:
- Local Pickup: Free local pickup is available at our property located at 1234 American Way, Anytown, USA.
- Domestic Shipping: We ship within the USA. Shipping rates and estimated delivery times will be calculated at checkout.
- Subscription Boxes: Our Hive-to-Home boxes are shipped monthly and can be managed through your account settings.
4. Returns and Refunds
Due to the perishable and food-grade nature of our honey, bee pollen, and propolis products, we generally cannot accept returns once a package has been opened. However, your satisfaction is our priority. If your jar arrives damaged or there is an issue with your order, please contact John and Jane Smith at hello@localhoney.com within 7 days of receipt.
5. Health and Safety
While many neighbors use our honey to support local pollinator health or manage seasonal allergies, these statements have not been evaluated by the FDA. Raw honey should not be fed to infants under one year of age. Our Propolis Throat Spray and Bee Pollen Power Jars are natural hive products; please consult a professional if you have specific bee-related allergies.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on this site—including our "Straight from the hive" tagline, product descriptions, and photography of our Anytown apiary—is the property of John and Jane Smith (Local Honey). Please do not use our artisanal photography or brand voice for commercial purposes without our neighborly permission.
7. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the state containing Anytown, USA, where our hives are managed and our honey is bottled.
