MORE THAN HONEY — WE BRING THE HIVE TO YOU
From private hive tours and school visits to custom wedding favors and wholesale partnerships, Local Honey is here to serve the Anytown community in ways that go far beyond the jar.
WHAT WE OFFER
Honey is what we make — but community is what we are here for. Here is how we can work together.
PRIVATE HIVE TOURS
Come see where your honey is made. We offer private, guided tours of our apiary for individuals, couples, families, and small groups. You will suit up in full protective gear, watch a live hive inspection, learn how bees communicate and produce honey, and taste fresh honeycomb straight from the frame. Tours last about an hour and are available by appointment year-round (weather permitting).

SCHOOL & YOUTH GROUP VISITS
We love introducing the next generation to the world of bees. Our educational apiary visits are designed for school field trips, scout troops, homeschool co-ops, and youth groups of all ages. Students learn about the life cycle of a honeybee, the role of pollinators in our food system, and how a working hive operates — all in a safe, supervised, hands-on environment. We provide all protective gear and send each kid home with a sample jar.

CUSTOM GIFT BASKETS & FAVORS
Looking for a unique, locally made gift? We build custom honey gift baskets for holidays, birthdays, corporate appreciation, housewarming, and any occasion worth celebrating. We also create custom wedding and event favors — small jars of raw honey with personalized labels that your guests will actually keep. Tell us the occasion, the budget, and the quantity and we will handle the rest.

WHOLESALE FOR LOCAL BUSINESSES
We partner with restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, farm stores, gift shops, and specialty retailers throughout the Anytown area. If you run a local business and want to carry Local Honey products on your shelves or menu, we offer wholesale pricing with flexible order sizes. Your customers get real local honey and you get a product with a story they will ask about.

EVENT HONEY BARS & TASTINGS
Bring the Local Honey experience to your next event. We set up a guided honey tasting bar where guests can sample our full range of honeys and hive products, learn the difference between varietals, and discover flavor pairings they never expected. Perfect for farmers markets, food festivals, corporate team events, bridal showers, and community gatherings. We bring everything — you just bring the guests.

POLLINATOR HABITAT PARTNERSHIPS
Want to make your yard, garden, school grounds, or community space more pollinator-friendly? We consult with local homeowners, HOAs, schools, and community organizations on planting native wildflowers and creating habitat that supports honeybees, butterflies, and other essential pollinators. A healthier landscape means healthier bees — and a healthier Anytown for everyone.

Our hive tours are one of the most popular things we do — and for good reason. There is nothing quite like standing a few feet from a live, buzzing colony and watching tens of thousands of bees work together in perfect coordination.
Here is how it works. You book a time through our contact page and show up at our property on American Way. We provide full protective suits, veils, and gloves in all sizes — including kids. John walks you through the apiary, opens a hive, and shows you what is happening inside: the queen, the workers, the brood, and the fresh honeycomb being built in real time.
You will learn how bees communicate through dance, how they decide what to forage, and why raw honey tastes so different from the commercial stuff. At the end, you get to taste fresh honeycomb straight from the frame — still warm from the hive.
Tours run about 60 minutes and are available by appointment. Groups of up to 10 people. Private tours are $25 per person, and every guest goes home with a sample jar of honey.
LOCAL HONEY IN THE COMMUNITY
We are proud to be part of the fabric of Anytown — here are a few ways we have shown up.
Families, school groups, date nights, and curious neighbors.
Restaurants, cafes, and shops carrying our honey.
Markets, festivals, weddings, and corporate events.
Native wildflowers distributed to Anytown yards and gardens.
WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT OUR SERVICES
"We booked a hive tour for my son's birthday and it was the highlight of the party. John was incredible with the kids — patient, funny, and genuinely passionate. Every child went home with a jar of honey and could not stop talking about the bees. We will be back every year."
"I own a cafe downtown and we switched to Local Honey on our menu six months ago. Customers notice the difference immediately and always ask about it. John and Jane are reliable, the pricing is fair, and having a truly local product on our tables means something to our regulars."
"Jane put together the most beautiful honey favors for our wedding — 150 little jars with custom labels. Our guests were obsessed. Half of them have reached out to order more since the reception. It was the perfect touch for a local, farm-inspired wedding."
"I teach third grade and our field trip to the Local Honey apiary was one of the best experiences my students have had all year. It tied directly into our science unit on ecosystems and pollination. John made it accessible and exciting for eight-year-olds — which is not easy. Highly recommend for any school group."
